Keri Kurry in a Hurry Loses a Race

The famous sprinter Keri Kurry in a Hurry has lost a race to the speedy Ewan Richie. The race took place during PE on Tuesday and Wednesday last week. Could this new runner become even more famous that KKH? Ewan could be the new fastest sprinter in the world. Keri’s views on this topic were taken note of when we interviewed her. “I cannot believe what happened in my last race!” she said this with a very exaggerated voice. “I am looking forward to the next race and if Ewan is reading this, I am preparing!”

On the day of the last race they both got changed into their PE kit and met in the hallway before going outside and declaring to other friends that they would race. The race started near the bike shed, they had to run past other people walking around the school and then swerve around a corner. This was the long straight. The long, long run past those on scooters who are already ahead and then to the gate which leads to the car park. An S6 started running with us, he was as fast as us. Then once they were in the car park, it was the home straight, in the rain past the stationary cars and over the imaginary finish line. The final news was that Ewan had won by about ½ a second! they tried to catch up with the others to tell then who won but after 2 laps of walking briskly, they had to ask a different Euan on a scooter to tell their friends who won. After about 4 laps, Keri ran to catch up with their friends and then ran back again to catch up with Ewan again. What a lot of laps!
