Keri and Drums

Hello, my name is Keri Mason and I love playing the drums. I figured I wanted to try it out when we were in music in school and we were playing the drums. This was about last November. When we were learning the basic rock beat, a girl in my class thought I already went to drum lessons and said that I was really good. I then asked for an electric drum kit for Christmas. When I got it, we set it up in the corner of Gran’s living room and I played it through the cool amplifier that Zoe got me. When I was being slightly quieter, I played them through the headphones that I already had. Also, on Christmas I got a seat for my drum kit which is called a drum throne. I started lessons in February on initial grade, I moved onto grade 1 in March, grade 2 in April and grade 3 in August. I am currently on grade 3 and the books I use are the trinity rock and pop drum books. My latest song is ‘Are You Gonna Go My Way’ by Lenny Kravitz. I have backing music on my ipod so that it isn’t just the drums playing. I have had 3 teachers so far and I have been called the fastest progressing student they have taught. I think I have found the right instrument for me!
